Reflective communication tools and methods

Environmental communication is itself a method and a tool in societal transformation. Over and above that, our program develops, trials, tests and designs practically applicable reflective tools and methods for practice and policy, e.g., tools for communication in collaborative governance, tools for co-creation of knowledge, and tools that facilitate nature-based transformations, as a legacy for long-term communication with societal actors who, like us, are engaged in communication for sustainability and societal transformation.

Sustainability walk

Technological solutions dominate the sustainability transition, but social change is also needed where making people’s lifestyles more sustainable is a key issue. This is where nudging and citizen participation, two popular strategies to influence the choices people make in their daily lives, can play a role. Nudging and citizen participation are usually used interchangeably and we have developed a method – the sustainability walk – that combines these two approaches.
