Mistra Environmental Communication presents at the grand seminar: Exploring the complexities and potentials of environmental communication

What is the role of environmental communication and science communication in today’s sustainability challenges? How can sustainability research findings inspire action?

These are some of the questions in focus at a ‘grand seminar’ on environmental communication taking place at Lund University next week, on 22 January.

Participating from Mistra Environmental Communication are:

  • Jutta Haider, Professor of Library and Information Science at the University of Borås and research leader of the focus area ‘Information Cultures, Data and Technology in Environmental Communication’, with a presentation entitled ‘(Digital) Infrastructures of denial’.
  • Klara Fischer , researcher in environmental communication at SLU, with the presentation ‘Beyond the headlines: Navigating spectacle in media reporting on carbon offsetting’.

The event can be viewed digitally here (registration by 17 January):

More information on the seminar can be found here.

The event is organised by the Centre for Environmental and Climate Science (CEC) at Lund University.
