Naturlyftet

An initiative to strengthen knowledge, engagement, and action for nature and biodiversity. Several organisations are behind this collective initiative, jointly contributing to the implementation of the UN’s global rescue plan for nature.

Eva is the Director of SCNI and part of the cross-cutting project NiLab in M-EC.

The nationwide initiative Naturlyftet aims to increase accessibility to biodiversity knowledge (including scientific, as well as local and experiential knowledge) with the help from critical studies in the field of environmental communication. This need is well situated in Target 21 of The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), which aims to restore 30 percent of degraded land and water areas globally and formally protect another 30 percent. 

By developing knowledge-based tools through a series of seminars and activities, Naturlyftet contributes to the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework. It is oordinated by the Swedish Centre for Nature Interpretation and invovles organisations and authorities in Sweden that work on communication of nature and biodiversity. 

One of the initiatives within Naturlyftet is a series of open webinars where research meets practice. Explore recorded and upcoming webinars here.
