Communication in Environmental Communication

How and where can our environmental communication research contribute to the wider field of communication research? In this project, leaders and participants from the different focus areas and ongoing projects collaborate to link empirical and theoretical developments to communication studies.

Environmental communication research presents a unique opportunity to both rework and revitalize conceptualizations of communication. Environmental issues give us a unique vantage point from which to understand the discursive and material entanglements of conflicts, dialogue and meaning. The aim of the C in EC strand is to – from this vantage point – enrich wider communication research.

The C in EC project has begun to publish articles and opinion pieces on unique perspectives on communication that are emerging from many areas of the programme.
